They say...

At Traxxas, we don’t make conversions. We built it right the first time. So, when our engineers sat down to design the latest E-Maxx, they made sure it had all the strength and durability needed for today’s most powerful aftermarket brushless setups. Give E-Maxx all you’ve got; its Brushless-Ready™ transmission is built for hard-hitting 6S LiPo power with the burliest brushless motors, and every component between the motor and the tires is proven tough for full-throttle fun, pack after pack, with the durability and reliability you expect from Traxxas.
We say...

The E-Maxx is probably the ultimate bashing machine and now its fitted with the infamous Mamba Max Brushless system, incredibly high speeds can be reached, never seen before with a monster truck.  The E-Maxx is often seen as second best when being compared to its newer cousin the E-Revo but this is a bit unfair as you are not comparing like for like.  The E-Maxx is much better suited to off-road running and is capable of taking some massive jumps.  The compromise comes with reduce control and more roll overs when cornering at higher speeds.

The E-Maxx comes with a rugged suspensions system running duel shocks and a well proven design.  The chassis a nice simple lay-out that is easy to work on and maintain.  This truck is incredibly robust out the box but of course is not indestructible.  With the high speeds possible and the abuse you will want to dish out on this truck you will break parts.  However the aftermarket is so strong for Traxxas trucks and a few cheap upgrades to the suspension will make your truck almost bullet proof.

So should you buy a Maxx? Well if you want a high speed, off-road truck, that looks amazing is strong and don’t plan to race this is about the best basher on the market.  If you  intend to do more high speed running on asphalt then you may want the high speed control that the E-Revo has to offer.
