Speed and Handling - 14.8 Volts of brushless torque will see this model keep up with
the equivalent nitro kit and pull away in some cases. Handling is sublime thanks
to a stiff chassis and low centre of gravity. The suspension is fully adjustable
so you can find the exact set-up for any surface or track lay out.
We Say...
Value for money - The Losi 8IGHT-E is not a cheap truck and is aimed squarely at
the racing enthusiast or very, very keen basher! But you do get a top spec racing
buggy that will hold its own against its nitro brothers and sisters. High spec LiPo
batteries are needed to get the most from this model.
Tuning and Hop Ups - This truck comes out the box ready to race at the highest level,
very few upgrades are needed to get the most from this model. Carbon and aluminium
parts may reduce weight and increase stiffness in places but finding the optimum
chassis set-up is probably where your time and money is best spent.
TorqueRc Verdict - The Losi 8IGHT-E is a glimpse at the future of 1/8th buggy racing,
the appeal of lower running costs and huge brushless power is growing by the day
in the RC world. This is a high spec product aimed at the racing market and doesn't
disappoint. Speed and handling are sublime with low down acceleration agility that
a nitro truck can only dream of.
